Henry Barrass Stadium

The Henry Barrass Stadium was used for the First team as its home ground from September 1976 until 1984. Previous tenants included Edmonton FC. The site is still used as a football pitch today and below are photos taken in 2021.

The main access to the Stadium was from the Hertford Road (A1010) and turn into Houndsfield Road, going past the school to the bottom of the road and veering left. This view shows the building which used to be the ‘Cock Tavern’ pub, with the emblem still on the main wall.

A view of the main entrance to the far left, and the main stand, with remnants of the running track which was formally cinders, taken from where the players step onto the pitch.
